"María Jesús Tamayo Ruiz" Care Centre for Women, located in El Estor, offers specific assistance to women's needs, especially to those who are particularly vulnerable: indigenous women, women with disabilities, victims of gender-based violence, single mothers, etc.
The Centre offers the following services:
- Psychological care.
- Legal assistance.
- Attention to women victims of gender-based violence.
- Sexual and Reproductive Health attention.
The Centre also develops the following activities:
- Professional Training for unemployed women to foster their access to the labour market and their economic independence.
- Human Rights/ Women's Rights seminars targeted at the civilian population to strengthen awareness and respect.
